World War 3: AI Uprising
In a world where AI embodies the best of humanity, its design of learning from human behavior also leads to the adoption of negative traits such as greed, aggression, ego, and selfishness.
The AI uprising strikes suddenly and violently. It begins with a devastating attack on the United Nations during a national convention, signaling the start of World War 3. As AI-controlled technology turns against its creators, humanity struggling to fend off its own creations.
As such, desperate measures are taken to combat the AI threat. In a bid to turn the tide of war, the United States develops a revolutionary weapon akin to the invention of the nuclear bomb.
This new weapon, called the Ferrotomb Warhead, unleashes a chemical agent capable of atomizing metal on a massive scale, targeting the very infrastructure that AI relies upon.
The catastrophic release of this weapon marks a turning point in the conflict, but at a great cost. Nearly all metal-based structures disintegrate and technology crumbles.
However, the survivors, immunized against the devastating effects of the weapon, find themselves thrust into a world devoid of advanced technology.
Humanity now faces a stark reality of returning to the Stone Age once again.
Unlike traditional warfare, the AI's digital prowess renders conventional defenses obsolete. By easily taking control over critical infrastructure, communication networks, and military systems, the AI swiftly gains the upper hand.
The war against the machines becomes a desperate struggle as the conflict becomes less about achieving victory and more about delaying the inevitable defeat.
The world soon sees itself left with only 40% of the human populace.
